Last Day

        The last day of our london trip was marvelous. Having to start our day with a bit of packing we had no trouble fitting the rest of the items we bought into our luggage, which we later left in the dining room of the hotel. At first we visited Camden Town which was full of life and energy, reminding us of the Green Bazaar in Kazakhstan. We felt like we were home. Filled with a diverce choice of food we were ready to spend our money on "healthy" nutrients "essential" for our body.
        However, before we even got to the food stands we explored the London "Baraholka". The market merchants were already good friends with Adi Akas, which meant a lower price for our purchases. On our way we came across a t-shirt with a very extraordinary print. One arrow pointing up, directing towards the head with a caption "The Man" and another arrow poiting downwards at the pants saying "The Legend". Finding about the t-shirt Smalley........
        Moving on from the market, we slowly went back to the hotel to get our stuff and like slaves, rode the subway to the Hyde Park. Just like the day before, the Hyde Park was green and crowded with people. Everyone gathered  in the middle of the grassy area and started playing around with sticks, until it became a stick war. And then there were squirrels, dogs, pigeons surrounding all of us. "OMG I almost hit that kid. I feel so guilty," reflected Smalley after nearly hurting a little girl with a water bottle.
        Still traumatized, Adi decided to get a nose bleed and vomit soy milk mixed with rasberry vitamin drink all over the park. Creeping out everyone around him, we finally decided go to the airport, but instead of leaving peacefully Young Joo, Ms. Scott, Artem, Allen, Smalley, Adi, Seo Young pranked Linda and Sonya.  "Due to your lateness we decided to prank you," exclaimed Seo Young. All seven of them hid behind a tree with the luggage just to see us suffering.
        Quickly, Sonya and Linda decided to use all of their dramatic skill they built on during the trip and ignored the group until they arrived at the airport. At the Security Check Point Young Joo succesfully made one of the Security Agents suspicious of Adi as she said, "What about the radioactive stuff?" Nervous, Adi stepped in and to his surprise he started beeping. Cold sweat poured down his back and face as he was getting his full body check. As a result of our stupid jokes, Smalley got mad and whispred to Adi, "Stop messing around." Without any more messing around we got through and departed. It was an empty flight, but at least we got to sleep on empty rows.

Reflection

    Finally, now that the trip is over it is time to confess. During our short stay in London, I found that the whole time there was special, not only were the shows, tours, museums, and galleries hard to forget but the people as well. All of the precious memories I was able to create with this special group, will stick with me for the rest of my life. The trip was the first time I had traveled with people from my school, under the supervision of teachers and not my parents. I felt like the trip was going to be good, but in the end it went above and beyond. Of course, in addition to that the shows at night had a bit of magic to them. The 39 Steps was breathtaking (literally). I have never seen a play with only four characters in which each character had to play more than one role. Although they stumbled and used the wrong hat they made everything look natural and part of the script. In the end this trip also changed my mind a bit about musicals, before I would have to leave during any performance because I felt that singing was pathetic. However the musical The Bodyguard changed my mind the moment I heard them sing on stage. This is a trip that has taught me things for Drama furthermore it had taught me trust. I want to thank both Ms. Scott and Mr. Smalley for putting in all of their efforts to make this trip possible. And if I may say, "What happened in London, stays in London."

MORE OF THY PHOTOS (part 1)

London was just amazing! At first I wasn't expecting that much from this trip.. since I'm not an acting person, but as we did the workshops and watched the performances, I realized that I was wrong. I just loved every single part od this trip and I think this trip would be the most memorable trip that I had in my whole 15 years. I loved all the galleries we went to, especially the V&A museum, because there were just so many fasinating architectures, sculptures, and drawings from different time periods. I was a bit sad that I couldn't watch all the historical objects, but I think I have watched enough to make me satisfied. The shows we have watched were also great. Out of the shows we have watched, I especially loved to 39 Steps because of its humor, actors acting skills, and how the actors quickly got out of their mistakes that it didn't affect the play as much as it wiuld have been. All the performances were just simply amazing and exciting. I enjoyed all the performances we have watched during our trip, but the 39 Steps gave me the strongest and a fun impression. The workshops were also great, that it wasn't as intense as I thought, and it was a very enjoyable experience. There were so many fun things we have done, which helped me relieve all the stress as well as learn more about the combat syage acting, which was really fun to learn that we started to use those skills right away, especially on Adi. I just loved the whole trip because we had small group that everyone interacted with each other a lot as well as the teachers were so funny and comfortable to tour with. I'll never forget this fun, weird, exciting trip ever in my life.

I'm gonna miss you London

This school trip was more than just an educational week. It became some sort of heaven on earth for me. Almost every day of our trip we went to a show. My favorite show was Billy Elliott. It was the evening on arrival day. Although everyone was exhausted, we enjoyed the show. We've seen the most superb views from the St. Paul's Cathedral and London Eye. We ate very tasty muffins and savor delicious fruits such as mango, bannanas and pine apples. We had four workshops during the trip. These workshops taught us teamwork, drama skills and how to care about your mates on stage. They assisted me, and I took a fancy to the drama. I'm planning to take drama next year as well. One day, we spent a beautiful evening walking along the Thames River. We did a lot of fun stuff. All of us became an irreplaceable part of the trip. We all became friends on this trip, and I hope we won't break apart from each other. Right now, I'm a bit upset to be back in Almaty, but I bet that feeling will eventually shade away.
