Fifth Day in London

Starting off like any other tourist group we went to St. Paul's Cathedral, but just  before that we got to visit The National Theatre. What was special is that we were able to receive a mini tour to the backstage of this huge theatre. The Olivier's theatre consisted of 1160 seats and had a big house onstage that reminded of a bigger version of a doll house. we then visited couple other spots within the theatre. Afternoon, we went to watch Antony and Cleopatra at the Shakespeare's Globe theatre. The theatre was designed in one of that original theatre at the time of Shakespeare.            It had no roof and there was no technology used whatsoever for the play. We had to stand for the whole play that was 3 hours. We took a short break at Starbucks for our legs/feet couldn't stand anymore of standing. Then we took a walk along the Thames River to find a place to eat at on the way to the London Eye. Half-way from our main destination we stopped, to act out a quick skit directed by Joshua Smalley. Sonya Svetenko and Adi Akas played the roles of a quarreling couple. We never planned on doing this thing, it was an absolutely spontaneous decision. However, we caught eyes of many pedestrians,  had fun, and it was related to our theme of the trip. On our way to the London Eye, we stopped in a small restaurant for a dinner. After this small rest we hurried along the river to the London Eye, which was clearly seen from the distance. These ones who didn't go to the London Eye missed amazing views from the every top of London. It took us around 20 minutes to make a whole circle. Later in the evening, we went to the Reply's Believe It or Not Museum of weird and sometimes disgusting stuff. As we are all very creative creatures, we finished the day with checking out China Town and realizing that many homeless people have the same type of dog breed.

Fourth day in the city

As the rest of the days, our fourth day in London was amazing. The first thing we did to start off our day was another workshop session. The actors there taught us how to properly use our bodies on stage and how to communicate with all our fellow mates on stages. These new techniques helped us play  mirrors, a game which helps develop a strong communication between two people and gives you an opportunity  to improve your concentration skills. After the workshop we went Tate Modern, which is a small museum but with some fantastic works of arts. There were works of Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and many others. After the museum we took a water bus to St. Katherine's, on our way to the water bus, we passed the Shakespeare Globe Theatre. Slightly after, we had a little bit of free time before we went to watch The 39 Steps. The performance was absolutely spectacular. All of the actors had done a brilliant job. The show had triggered tons of positive emotions among everybody, and was a great way to end the day.

Third day

The day once again was amazing. Today we went to several places that were quite fun and entertaining, and of course, absolutely memorable. First, we hit the V&A museum, which everyone found to be really interesting and fascinating. It was indeed great. The statues in the beginning were storytellers, guiding us, as we walked, through the stories of their lives. Next on our itinerary we had another exciting workshop scheduled for us. It was fantastic, the new teachers were professional actors whom we learned a lot from. They were very nice and had focused on teaching us the art of improvisation and how to deliver lines throughout the performance. Later that day, we went to a new dinner place and had fun, especially Mr. Smalley teasing his students. The play Woman in Black was terrific. Every one of us were greatly impressed by the actors work. Especially Allen liked how the older actor was transforming from one character to another without loosing track of who he is playing. That was amazing. We all thank Artem Lifanov for suggesting to go on a walk near the London Eye. Thanks Artem!

After "Woman in the Black" musical, we were walking on the bridge that had magnificent view. We took  some pictures. We were hanging around and having fun. The "BigBen" rang, that was something unusual for us. The night lights reflected from the dark water and everything was shining.  Air after theater was so fresh and no rain made London look more positive, I guess. We had a walk to a metro station. Everyone passed through pay-gate except Young Joo. But, the kind security guy let her pass without a ticket. This day was full of kindness and fun.

City of great sights

Second day in a luxurious city

It's our second day in London and we once again have had some absolutely amazing experiences. The National Gallery, workshop, shopping, and Bodyguard the Musical.  The day was surely memorable and full of positive memories. The workshop that we did was fun, interesting, and very useful for us. In the morning, before the Gallery, we had some time to wander around, then we headed to the Big Ben and on our way we were interested in how Big Ben looks close-up. The National Gallery had paintings that were either telling stories or were all just about painting the setting and image in your head. That was awesome and historical for Allen as he said yesterday.  Before the musical, we had time for shopping, everybody  headed in different directions. Some went to buy a cup of coffee from Starbucks, others went to buy clothes, and the rest went to the book store. After that we went to the theatre to watch The Bodyguard.  The actors did a spectacular job as the crowd could not stop cheering and applauding.

The best musical so far. Ask why? In this musical you will find: comedy, action, drama , detective and tragedy. From the first minutes it captured our attention. Sound of gunshots, screams, yelling, everything was so loud. Those of us who were sleepy, woke up in a second. Everything about the musical was interesting and fascinating. The certain suspense created in the plot grabbed the audiences attention automatically. Te whole thing itself was stressing and shocking. The main characters were very picturesque. We can't tell you the whole plot of the story, but we strongly suggest once you have a chance, to go and see the musical.
"By the way I liked the way how Lenni or Lenny ( you will know who is he) played his role. 10/10! MINDBLOWING!" - Adi
